A quick breakfast recipe, when you are too lazy to prepare whole south Indian diaspora. You may use leftover idlis for this or could prepare fresh idlis and give them a south indie twist. We will use sambhar masala (blend of spices) in this recipe, you can use any kind whichever is available to you or we will come up with the recipe soon on the blog.
Sambhar Masala Idly
ingredients
Leftover or fresh idlis, each cut into four halves
Two tbsp,vegetable oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
half teaspoon asafoetida
half teaspoon turmeric
2 green chillies, finely cut
2 tbsp sambhar masala
Salt, according to taste.
Direction
Put a wok on the cook-top, on a medium flame.
Heat cooking oil, Put mustard and cumin seeds in it.Let them crackle.
Put asafoetida, curry leaves, green chillies and turmeric.
Immediately drop cut idlis into wok.
Add Sambhar Masala and salt. Splutter little water with you hand and give it a quick toss, so that everything coats idlis properly. Cover it for a minute.
Turn off the flame and serve with your favourite chutney or dip.
Note
While adding curry leaves be attentive as they splutter. You may add little water to rescue burning of dry spices.
It can be had as a breakfast option or an evening snack.
It taste incredible with Tomato ketchup or Coconut chutney.

You can always add or delete things to give your cooking art a face but believe us essence of this recipe is in its simplicity.
