Lemon Posset

This is a quick 3 ingredient sweet recipe which is very impressive. It looks and tastes fancy but very easy to make. This dessert is originally a British dessert which I came to know very later, but as soon as I have it, I fell in love.

I am pretty sure you guys will love it too. Its lemony vibe will lure you to finish it right off.

This is a very creamy and refreshing thing that will get prepared in no time. Only you have to wait till it sets in the fridge and voila.

Let's start

Lemon Posset

Yield: serves 3-4 people

Total time : 3 hours

Ingredients

Heavy cream / Double cream, 2 cups

Castor sugar, 1.5 cups

Lemon zest, 2 tbsp (optional)

Lemon juice, 2 tbsp

Direction

  • Heat a pan and pour double cream and sugar, mix till both dissolves. Add lemon zest and mix.

  • When the mixture comes to a boil, add lemon juice a little by little and continuously keep stirring.

  • Your lemon posset mixture is ready.

  • Now pour this mixture into your favourite dessert bowl and freeze it for a minimum of 2 hours. More is anyway better.

  • garnish the posset with cherry, lemon zest and mint.

  • Enjoy

Note

  • If you are not getting double cream you may also use whipping cream. If you want to make it with Amul fresh cream then before adding lemon zest and lemon juice bring the cream to 3/4 of its quantity by stirring it continuously on heat. Then follow the above process as depicted.

  • Do not worry about adding lemon juice to cream and sugar mixture. It will arrive to its consistency, just add little by little and keep stirring.
